Happy Birthday to the top commenter

LizardTravels would like to say “Happy Birthday” to its top commenter and my aunt. Thank you for caring about the blog and thank you for all you do in general.

No real signs of Tropical Storm Arthur. It has been slightly cooler, but that is all. It rained today for about 10 minutes. I hope that continues for the next few days. I don’t think we are getting anywhere as near as much rain as Iowa.

Dad in Georgia

Last night, we went to hear Good Vibrations which is a Beach Boys tribute band. I think the camera thought they were as bad I as did as something went wrong and the videos were deleted. I think I lost a lot of pictures and videos, but I have most already on my blog.

Today, for lunch, we ate at Be Our Guest restaurant. We also rode Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, and the Dwarf Mine ride. The Mine ride was more barnstormer than roller coaster this time around. Last time, the drop at the end surprised me.

Dad left after that and has made his way to Georgia.

I am waiting for my next guests and I don’t mean Arthur.

Random few days

Hi,

I can’t remember really what day it is and when we saw the fireworks in Japan. One day the Lieutenant Governor stopped by work. There are some other random pictures. Dad and I ate at House of Blues (newer menu by Food Network star, Aaron Sanchez) and Columbia Harbor House. We also had a Dole Whip of pineapple and vanilla. Oh yeah, we stopped by Old Town and tonight, we went golfing. I didn’t have a six nor a six asterisk (which means we went over six), so we are getting better at golf and also Buzz LightYear as you can see in the picture. Dad won golf with a 68 to my 70.

Here are some random pictures:

Port Announcement

I had to go over to Port Canaveral yesterday for a cargo partnership announcement, so I took Dad with me. We really explored Port Canaveral well. I took many transportation pictures. We also went into the Dubai looking building as it is a museum about the Port. We got a great view of the Port. It was very informative. I had lunch at the meeting, but Dad got crab cakes afterwards near the channel. We also went to Ron Jon’s Surf Shop and drove by Patrick Air Force Base. At night, we ate at Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney.

See more pictures from the announcement and of the port, below:

Fireworks from Japan

Dad and I went to Epcot tonight. I got the kid’s meal. It really was a baby’s meal. I always take a risk as the size varies, but the salmon was so small — smaller than usual. It was still good, but I am hungry now.

We also watched the Chinese and United States movies and went on the Mexican ride. We watch IllumiNations from Japan. I had always heard watching from the Japanese restaurant is the best, but I found it to be disjointed between the music and the fireworks. The ending was good though.

Father’s Day at Boma

Dad’s Father’s Day gift was the breakfast buffet at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is a good deal. It had made-to-order omelets, French toast with praline sauce, African pastries, carved ham, fresh fruit, quinoa oatmeal type thing, African pap, a fruit medley of grapefruit, avocado, and guava, and corn beef bobotie—a type of South African quiche. The waiter said that he bought his mother and father a refrigerator for Mother’s Day. I told the waiter that I am also taking Dad to Biergarten next weekend, but still…a refrigerator!

We went to Animal Kingdom afterwards are rode Dinosaur, saw The Festival of the Lion King, and went on the safari.

Every four years…

I think people just like cheering for the United States or at least I do, but soccer seems fun and better this year — maybe we have a decent team. Dad and I went to the Odyssey at Epcot for tonight’s game. It was filled to capacity.

It was so exciting! It was great to watch it with a bunch of people. The announcer said that it would be the greatest victory for U.S. soccer if they could win with like 2 minutes left. Dad looked at me and told me it wasn’t over. He was right as Portugal scored in the last 30 seconds!!! One extra kick and the USA would have won. It was close to as devastating at Game 6 of last year’s Spurs vs. Heat, but nowhere near to Michelle Kwan getting a bronze medal back in the day — which was truly devastating.

I have a conference on Thursday when the next game is on….hmmm………

Olaf

Dad and I went to Hollywood Studios. We rode Toy Story Midway Mania. We drew Olaf from Frozen at the Animation Academy. We also rode Star Tours and went on the Backlot Tours.
